2.6.2009

We have now released Service Pack 1 for the TimberOffice™ version 4.0 (released in 2007), with updates to some of the software features and a few entirely new functions. Most of the modifications apply to the TimberCenter™and TimberNavi™ software. Some minor updates also apply to TimberLink™.

The Service Pack is available free of charge at www.timberoffice.com, click Support and Downloads. The size of the package is approximately 6.8 Mb and it requires an earlier installation of the TimberOffice version 4.0. A new licence key is not required.

Main updates to TimberCenter:

- A new feature that transfers attached files automatically to the TimberCenter database as mail is received.
- New printouts:
* A printout that gathers data from the PRD and DRF files. The printout also includes additional tasks determined in TimberMatic. The purpose is to make invoicing easier for small companies.
* Quick printout: you can preset default printouts for every file type, and these can be printed out by the touch of one button.
* Harvested log tally printout from the PRI file (if necessary parameters are available)
* A printout of unregistered logs from the PRD file by tree species
* A printout of TimberRite 30 Lite production from the PRI file
- New folders for the E model error and event log and machine parameters (XML file, back-up copy)
- New timefilter (day, week, month, year) in the database management display to help data file handling.

Main updates to TimberNavi:

- Several user interface updates:
* Transported volume is displayed as a tooltip for storage sites
* New machine position symbols: the icons turn as the machine moves, for example the arrow always points in the direction of travel.
* Altitude information added to the bottom of the user interface
* Active driver added to the bottom of the user interface
* New text tool added (enables background transparency, font type, size and colour change) to allow writing information on maps.
- Simplified unloading procedure:
* Possibility to pre-assign product type for each storage site (from PRI or APT files). The load is automatically unloaded based on pre-assigned data by the touch of one button.
* Deleting a pre-assigned product type from a storage site reassigns the production back to loading (user choice)
- General production overview by storage site:
* Unloaded production can be reassigned to another storage site.
- PRL file content has been updated in line with the latest StanForD specification
- Log tally to PRD from Navi (length and diameter data from PRI file)
- New view mode: map rotation. The map rotates dynamically as the machine moves in the terrain.
- New sites can be created from GHD. Support for updated GHD content.
- New pop-up window for showing files related to work site in the GHD, e.g. work instruction.
- Support for two new coordinate systems: EUREF-FIN and SWEREF 99
- Improvements to monitoring tools:
* New setting: the machine’s path is only traced when it moves forward
* GPS position errors are filtered (feature added to GPS Server)
* Path width can be set in metres, a useful feature in making thinning tracks and furrowing the soil.
* The length of the track is displayed as a tooltip

Main updates to TimberLink:

- More reliable file transfer by memory stick between the harvester and office PC.
- A download status bar to indicate downloading progress on the office PC.
- Quick selections (one day, one week, one month or previous time selection) for the reporting period.
